John Cardona & Paul Sammut Kick off thier first match in this year's League with a bang 5.450kgs


That was the 2nd match of the HOFC Tubertini GoFish Doubles League 2021 , Well done to all competitors that took part , At least the weather was in favour today , seas slightly choppy but not that bad until the latter parts of the match. It was not an easy task as the fish bites were far from frequent, which tested quite a few Anglers to try and adapt to what was in the area. Although this venue is normally well known for catching the sought-after Mullet, it was only a couple of pegs that managed to land a few. In fact, that was the species that enabled the winning team to achieve their awesome result today. There was a couple of other species that are not that common catches which where a blue spotted Bream & a gurnard which in previous years it was quite common in this area. Winners on the Day were Niccu Pizz John & Paul Sammut with a very nice weight of 5.450kgs , followed by Gianluca Cardona & DianeBrady Sammut in second place also had some Mullet in their bag with 2.130kgs & in third Place Alexander Spiteri & Carmel Spiteri with 1.785kgs whom ended up targeting Damsel Fish.
